On Monday 5th September, we launched our brand new Big Sister, Little Sister Programme. After collecting our packed lunch each pupil in Years 7-9 was paired up with a Big Sister in Years 11-13. As a school, we then headed to Hyde Park for a picnic with our Big or Little Sister to chat and get to know them.

Every few weeks the Big and Little Sisters will be meeting up for lunch as a chance to catch up and for the younger years to ask any questions they may have about life in the upper school. This will also maintain their relationship for the future.

Through this programme, the younger years have the opportunity to speak to the older pupils about school life and any issues they fear they will have since the older pupils have experienced it all already and can give them any advice they have. Knowing a familiar face will allow any new pupils and the Year 7s to settle in and feel more comfortable. Starting a new school will always be daunting, so we hope this programme will ease the transition and help the pupils start their More House journey on a high and create bonds which will last throughout their whole time at the school.
