Christmas at More House is celebrated in a variety of ways. We started the Christmas season with our Christmas Concert: Nine Lessons and Carols in which we were were joined by parents, staff and Governors and treated to the exceptional talent of our More House choirs singing some lovely Christmas carols. This was followed by the arrival of our Christmas tree to which Lilia (Year 7) as the winner of the More Green Award and some of her fellow classmates had the privilege of decorating. We then had our annual Christmas Fayre organised by our fantastic More House Parents’ Association. Pupils organised their form stalls, we had more carols from our choirs, baking goodies, a tombola, bottle stop, raffle and more… a fun-filled day had by all!

The festivities continued as pupils in our Big Sister / Little Sister scheme (in which the younger year pupils are buddied-up with an older pupil) got the chance to spend some time together making Christmas cards for their family and friends whilst singing along to some Christmas tunes. Everyone then got to wear their Christmas Jumpers to raise money for the Cardinal Hume Centre and we enjoyed a scrumptious Christmas lunch cooked by our wonderful chef, Brahim and his team.

We had more Christmas cards designing in the form of two Christmas card competitions, one for the Diocese and one in Illustration Club. We then ended the term with our Christmas Liturgy, celebrating with hymns and some beautiful readings by pupils.
