The London Heads’ Dance Society has been formed by More House School and St Paul’s Cathedral School, in support of the London based charity icandance, who give children and young people with disabilities the chance to dance.
The partnership has brought sixteen Headteachers from across the capital from the independent, state and SEND sectors to attend dance lessons, leading to a Strictly Heads event in June 2022. All sixteen Heads have agreed to sacrifice their dignity and don the sequins in support of icandance.
Our Head Faith Hagerty states “Our role as Headteachers is to ensure ALL children have a chance to thrive. We are putting our dignity to one side for one evening because we feel strongly that icandance is a vital resource for young people.”
Each school participating is going to form a committee who will lead their own dance-based fundraising initiatives, so thousands of children across the capital are involved in this exciting project.
